◆Overview of Features
You can remotely restart ugo from the control panel.
Restarting ugo remotely, including turning it off and on, is called a "system restart."
If an error occurs in one of ugo's services and the issue is not resolved by a "service restart," a "system restart" may resolve the issue.
How to perform a service restart
◆System Restart Procedure
① Click the [Action Menu] in the lower right corner of the operation screen, and then click [Settings].
② Select the [System] tab in the [Settings] pop-up and click [Restart].
③ A confirmation pop-up will appear asking, [Woould you like to restart the system?] If you wish to restart, click [Yes].
④ When the restart process begins, the message [Exit System: reboot] will be displayed in the lower left corner of the operation screen. The ugo's face display will show [reboot]. ugo Pro: The lifter moves to the default height and the arm returns to its initial position. ugo mini: The telescopic pole moves to the default height, and the orientation of the 4k gimbal camera returns to the default position.
⑤ As the restart process progresses and just before the power turns off, the message [Closing the ugo operation screen...] will appear in the lower left corner of the operation screen. The operation screen browser tab will be automatically closed.
⑥ After ugo shuts down once due to a restart, the ugo logo is displayed on the face display, followed by a rainbow-colored icon. The startup process will begin.
⑦ Once ugo has finished starting up, the default face expression will be displayed on the face display. In the case of the ugo Pro, the arm is positioned in a [standby position] slightly before its default state. When ugo returns to the online state, the ugo icon will appear on the operation screen.
◆Notes
Confirm the robot position:
- Always ensure that the robot is stopped at a charging station or on a safe, flat area free of obstacles, and that there is no Flow running. Please check the operation screen before proceeding. Never attempt a Restart when the robot is moving, such as when navigating the map.
[Time buffer] When setting a schedule:
- Depending on the communication conditions, it may take some time for execution commands to reach the robot(ugo) from the ugo Portal (cloud).
When executing the "Restart" command from the command list, or when setting up a "Restart Flow" using the Schedule function,
Please ensure that sufficient buffer time is provided between the preceding and succeeding flows.
*Please allow several minutes for the system to restart and reconnect to the internet, and plan your schedule accordingly.
About the communication device:
- Depending on the model of the mobile router, ugo may not automatically reconnect to the internet after restarting.
In that case, someone on-site will need configure the communication devices such as mobile routers or plug and unplug cables.
Before executing the "restart" command, please be sure to check the configuration of ugo and the communication device.
【Pro / Ex】Regarding the Braking function when connected to the charging station:
- In Pro/Ex, use the [Start Automatic charging (volume control/brake)] command and the [Cart Brake ON/OFF] command.
Please note that if you have enabled the brake when connected to the charging station, it will be released after a restart.
*After the restart is complete, the brake will not automatically re-enable when docked at the charging station.
You will need to run the above command again to re-enable the brake when the robot is docked.
