Cart Brake ON/OFF

◆ Overview

This function locks (fixes) or unlocks the wheels of the ugo Pro/Ex at any desired position.
It is primarily intended to be executed from the command list while connected to a charging station.
*Not available on ugo mini.

The tires will lock in place. Unlock the tires.

 

⚠️【IMPORTANT】Please read this for your safety.

The "brake status" cannot be determined from the outside:

- If you turn the brakes "ON" using this command, the ugo Pro / Ex will lock its tires.

*The ugo mini does not support brakes. Executing the "Cart Brake ON" command will not work.

 

Please do not press forcefully:

- Forcibly pushing the robot manually while it is braking is extremely dangerous as it may cause the aircraft to tip over.

 

Only valid while the application is running:

This brake only works while ugo Pro/Ex is running and this command is executing successfully.
The brakes will be released when you use keyboard controls to move forward, 
execute the "Move straight for ◯ meters" command, or execute the "Cart Brake OFF" command .

 

Informing those around you:

Please also inform the staff involved in the operation of ugo that "ugo is locked while charging and should not be moved manually."

 

◆ Purpose and benefits of the command

In some ugo Pro/Ex units, there was an issue where the connection to the charging station would disconnect after automatic charging return.
Applying a brake to the cart unit after connecting to the charging station prevents the problem of the ugo disconnecting from the charging station and running out of battery due to rebound or vibration.
A similar function is also included as a parameter in the "Automatic Charging Start (Volume Adjustment/Brake)" command.

◆ Location of the command

After switching the command picker's display level to [Beta], you'll find it in the [Move] tab.

 

◆ Key points for operation

Operation with the "Cart Brake ON/OFF" set:

If you incorporate the "Cart Brake ON" command into your Flow, make sure to configure it so that the "Cart Brake OFF" command is always included when the Flow ends, or at the beginning of the next Flow to be executed.

 

How to release the brakes:

When removing the ugo from the charging station by pressing it with your hand, do not force it. Instead, release the brake using one of the following methods.

  • Operation from the ugo Portal control screen: Moving forward using keyboard controls
  • Executing a command from the command list: Executing the "Go straight for ◯m" command or the "Cart Brake OFF" command.

 

* Execute commands from the command list

Please execute the "Cart Brake OFF" command from the command list on the operation screen to release the brakes, and then move the cart by pushing it manually.

*Operation with Flow

In Flow, it is still possible for a braked ugo to leave a charging station using the "move straight for XX meters" command.
The brakes will be automatically released as soon as movement begins.

 

◆ Notes

Do not execute the "Cart Brake ON" command from the command list while Flow is running.
In particular, please absolutely refrain from executing the "Cart Brake ON" command 
while executing commands that involve moving or rotating ugo.
