◆ Overview
This single command allows you to configure ugo's return to charging stations, volume during operation, and brake locking after connection (Pro/Ex only).
It's a recommended command with more functionality than the traditional "Automatic Charging Start" command.
Please refer to the following for automatic charging requirements:
• Requirements for Automatic Charging Return
⚠️【IMPORTANT】Please read this for your safety.
The "brake status" cannot be determined from the outside:
If you enable the brakes with this command, the ugo Pro/Ex connected to the charging station
will have its wheels locked.
*The ugo mini does not support brakes. Setting the parameters will not make it work.
Please do not push forcefully:
Forcibly pushing the robot manually while it is braking is extremely dangerous as it may cause the robot to tip over.
Only valid while the application is running:
This brake only works while ugo Pro/Ex is running and this command is executing correctly.
The brake will be released when you perform forward movement using keyboard controls, the "straight ahead ◯m" command, or the "cart brake OFF" command
Informing those around you:
Please also inform the staff involved in the operation of ugo that "ugo is locked while charging and should not be moved manually."
◆ Purpose and benefits of the command
This function simultaneously adjusts the volume of the background music while the automatic charging return operation is running and maintains the connection with the charging station.
Volume adjustment (all models):
You can individually optimize the volume of background music and speech within Flow.
Brake function (Pro/Ex only):
In some ugo Pro/Ex models, there was an issue where the connection to the charging station would become disconnected after automatic charging and return.
By applying a brake to the cart unit after connecting to the charging station, this prevents the problem of the ugo and charging station becoming disconnected due to rebound or vibration, resulting in the battery running out.
◆ Location of the command
It can be found in the "Move" tab of the command picker.

| Item | Explanation |
| Name | You can change the display names of commands in the command list, Flow, and WorkPlan to anything you like. Please use this feature as needed, especially when someone unfamiliar with ugo is involved in its operation. Example: "Return to charging station" |
| Driving background music | You can choose to enable or disable background music (BGM) that plays during automatic charging and return operation. Enable → BGM plays (default setting) Disable → BGM does not play |
| Error utterance | You can choose whether or not ugo will voice an error message when automatic charging and return fails. Enabled → Voices an error message upon failure. Disabled → Does not voice an error message upon failure (default setting). |
| Driving BGM volume [%] | You can adjust the volume of the background music that plays during automatic charging and return operation. It can be adjusted in 1% increments (0% to 100%). The default setting is 100%. For more details on volume adjustment, please refer to the following: • How ugo's speaker output volume works and how to configure it. |
| Normal speech volume [%] | You can adjust the volume of the phrase "Starting automatic charging and returning" that ugo says when automatic charging and returning begins. The volume can be adjusted in 1% increments (0% to 100%). It is set to 100% by default. For more details on volume adjustment, please refer to the following: • How ugo's speaker output volume works and how to configure it. |
| Error speech volume [%] | You can adjust the volume of the dialogue that ugo speaks when automatic charging and return fails. You can adjust it in 1% increments (0% to 100%). By default, it's set to 100%, but because the [Error Dialogue] parameter is set to [Disabled], it won't speak. For more details on volume adjustment, please see below: • How ugo's speaker output volume works and how to configure it. |
| Brake application (Pro/Ex only) | You can select whether to turn the cart unit's brakes ON or OFF after connecting to the charging station. *Note: The ugo mini does not support brakes. Setting the parameters will not make it work. Enabled → Brakes are applied . Disabled → Brakes are not applied (default setting). |
*If "Driving BGM" / "Error Speech" is set to [Enabled] and "Driving BGM Volume" / "Error Speech Volume" is set to [0%], the system will perform the "process of playing the sound", but the output volume will be zero (silent). Basically, if you want to silence the system, it is recommended to [Disable] the parameters themselves.
◆ How to release the brakes
When removing ugo from the charging station by pushing it manually, do not force it. Instead, release the brake using one of the following methods.
- Operation from the ugo Portal control screen: Moving forward using keyboard controls
- Executing a command from the command list: Executing the "Go straight for ◯m" command or the "Turt brake OFF" command.
* Execute commands from the command list
Please add the "Cart Brake OFF" command to the command list and use it.
*Operation with Flow
In Flow, it is still possible for a braked ugo to leave a charging station using the "move straight for XX meters" command.
The brakes will be automatically released as soon as movement begins.
