[Update History]
Added on 2026/04/06: We have published the "Network Configuration Connectivity Check Procedure".
March 30, 2026 Update: Regarding the postponement of the ugo OS v4.4.0 and Portal release.
==Added on 2026/04/06 (Mon): Communication verification procedure released=================================
Today we released ugo OS Ver.4.4.0 and ugo Portal Ver.1.17.0.
To verify that the network settings (whitelist) have been correctly configured after the addition process, we have added a "communication verification procedure" at the beginning of this article (" 1. Communication Verification Procedure"). Please use this to confirm that communication to the new domain is permitted before updating the OS. We will send you an email newsletter on the morning of April 7th with your login ID (email address) and password to access the communication verification tool, after which you can verify your connection.
==Added on 2026/03/30 (Mon)=
We regret to inform you that the release of "ugo OS v4.4.0" and "ugo Portal with new SkyWay specifications," which was scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31st, has been postponed .
We sincerely apologize for this last-minute notice, especially to those who have been preparing for the release.
This update involves a major overhaul, including migration to the new specifications for the communication infrastructure (SkyWay). The final checks for release have taken longer than expected, and we have determined that the product is not yet of a quality that we can provide to our customers in its best possible state.
■Regarding future release plans
Currently, our development team is fully dedicated to resolving issues and conducting final testing.
Official release date: Currently being finalized. We will announce the confirmed date on this page as soon as it is confirmed.
============================
Thank you for using our product, ugo.
Due to the switch to a new specification for the WebRTC platform ( SkyWay , provided by NTT Docomo Business ) used in ugo Portal, support for the old specification will end on April 30, 2026.
Accordingly, we have important announcements regarding changes to network settings (whitelist) at currently operating facilities, updates to ugo OS v4.4.0 (v4.4.0 is scheduled for release at the end of March), and the discontinuation of service for some models.
We kindly ask our customers to carefully review the following information and take appropriate action by the deadline.
1. Procedure for confirming connectivity (Added on 2026/04/06)
The connectivity test unit is always powered on, so connectivity can be checked at any time.
① From your internet connection (the connection you plan to use to operate ugo), please access the following URL. [ugo Portal (Login Screen)] URL: https://ugo-portal.com/auth/login
② On the morning of April 7th, we will send the customer their login ID (email address) and password to access the communication verification device. We will inform you separately via email newsletter.
Enter your login ID (email address) and password to access the connectivity checker, then log in to the ugo Portal. *This is not the login ID (email address) and password you normally use. *If you are not receiving our email newsletter, ugo Technical Support will contact you individually, Please contact us.
③ After logging in, the [SkyWay Switch Button] displayed in the upper right corner of the operation screen will be set to [SkyWay V2]. Please verify that the "Communication Verification Reactor" is displayed as online.
If [SkyWay V1] is displayed, click the [SkyWay Switch Button] to switch. The "Communication Verification Reactor" will be displayed as online.
If the "Communication Confirmation Reactor" does not appear online, please try the following steps: ① Log in to the ugo portal using a different browser (e.g., Safari or Edge other than Chrome) and check if it works.
② If the robot appears correctly in a different browser, please clear your browsing history, including cache and cookies, in your current browser.
④ After logging in, please select "Connect (Operate)" for the "Communication Confirmation Reactor" displayed on the operation screen.
*Due to the expected high volume of access from customers, we have prepared two "Communication Confirmation Reactors."
It is fine to use either one to perform the communication confirmation.
⑤ The "Communication Confirmation Reactor" operation screen will open, and if a color bar is displayed on the screen,
the communication test is complete.
3. Please proceed to the request to perform the ugo OS update by the end of April for current models.
If you cannot confirm the video or audio signal, please proceed to 2. Request to add or change network settings (whitelist) .
Please add or modify your network settings (whitelist) if needed.
2. Request to add or change network settings (whitelist)
With the transition to the new WebRTC platform specifications, the destination address (domain) and port used will change.
If you have communication restrictions (whitelist settings, etc.) in place on your facility's network,
please add the new settings by April 30, 2026.
*Until updating to ugo OS ver. 4.4.0, you will need to have both the conventional "*.webrtc.ecl.ntt.com" and " *.skyway.ntt.com" coexisting.
*Please refer to the following for the destination address (domain) and port used in the previous WebRTC platform specifications.
・Network environment required for use
■ Communication requirements in the new specifications
Please configure your firewall or proxy server to allow the following communications.
| Classification | Destination domain (FQDN) | Port number | Protocol | Purpose |
| Control/Signaling | *.skyway.ntt.com | 443 / TCP | HTTPS, WSS | Authentication, room management, signaling |
| STUN | *.skyway.ntt.com | 443/UDP, 443/TCP |
STUN | Communication path resolution |
| TURN (Live broadcast) | *.skyway.ntt.com | 443/UDP, 15000-65535/UDP 443/TCP |
– | Media data relay |
| P2P communication | Between each client terminal | 1024-65535/UDP | – | Direct communication between devices |
Please also add the following URLs related to our platform to your whitelist (if you are already registered, you do not need to register again).
- ugo-portal.com
- api.ugo.systems
■Main changes from the previous specifications
① Change of domain
- Former domain: .webrtc.ecl.ntt.com
- New: .skyway.ntt.com*From an operational and maintenance perspective, we recommend allowing all subdomains using a wildcard (*.) rather than registering each subdomain individually.
② Port of the TURN server (for relaying)
Under the new specifications, depending on the communication partner's environment, UDP (ports 15000-65535) may be used for some routes when communicating with the TURN server.
③ Add WSS (WebSocket Secure) communication
We use WSS communication for control/signaling, etc. Please add WSS communication to the list of permitted communications.
■Points to note when configuring network settings
Regarding restrictions based on IP addresses:
SkyWay's server IP addresses change dynamically, so when filtering, use the domain name (FQDN). You need to configure filtering. Please note that filtering by IP address is not possible.
Proxy server and TLS inspection:
Due to the characteristics of WebRTC (real-time communication), the following settings are recommended. - Proxy exclusion: Add .skyway.ntt.com to your proxy server's bypass list.
- Disabling SSL/TLS inspection: This can cause delays or disconnections in communication for the above domains. Please disable packet rewriting and inspection.
Prioritizing UDP communication:
WebRTC prioritizes UDP communication.
When using the TURN server, if UDP port 443 is blocked, a fallback to TCP port 443 will occur.
Due to its nature, TCP communication may experience increased delays in video and audio. Please allow UDP communication whenever possible.
3. [Current Robot Models] Request to update to ugo OS by the end of April
Customers using the affected models are required to complete the OS update by the deadline to accommodate the changes in communication specifications.
If you have implemented communication restrictions (such as whitelisting) on your facility's network, please ensure that you have completed adding or changing the network settings (whitelist) to comply with the new WebRTC platform specifications before updating ugo OS.
■ Applicable models
- ugo Pro (G4)
- ugo mini (G1)
- ugo Ex (G4)
- Imitation learning kit for AI robots
*For the imitation learning kit for AI robots, a separate dedicated OS will be provided.
We will contact eligible customers individually.
■ Update details
- Target OS version: ugo OS v4.4.0
- It is scheduled for release at the end of March. After the release, please update it as soon as possible.
- Completion deadline: Thursday, April 30, 2026
*Please note that updating from an older OS version may take some time.
Please plan your work schedule accordingly.
■ Risks of not performing the update
After May 1, 2026, ugo running an OS version lower than v4.4.0 will no longer be able to connect to the new WebRTC platform specifications.
This will result in the following issues.
Please be sure to update before the deadline.
- Remote control and camera view monitoring via the ugo Portal will be completely unavailable.
- Remote control will become impossible, making it impossible to perform OS updates (recovery work) via the ugo Portal.*In some cases, it may be necessary to collect the device and perform the update in a local environment at our company.*Please note that we will not be able to provide a replacement device in such cases.
4. Response Schedule and Roadmap
| period | Tasks to be handled (customer's responsibility) | remarks |
| Late March | (ugo OS v4.4.0 release planned) | We will announce it in the release notes on our support page . |
| Late March to April 30th | ① Adding/Changing Network Settings |
If you have implemented communication restrictions (such as whitelisting) on your facility's network, be sure to add network settings (whitelists) that comply with the new WebRTC platform specifications. Please retain existing network settings (whitelists) that comply with the old specifications in order to perform the ugo OS update. In other words, network settings (whitelists) that comply with both the new and old specifications will coexist. |
| ② Updating to ugo OS v4.4.0 | Please update all affected units sequentially. | |
| Thursday, April 30th | [Final Deadline] | This is the deadline for completing all tasks. |
| From May 1st (Friday) | Start of operation of new method (SkyWay) |
Older ugo devices running older operating systems (ugo OS v4.3.3 or earlier) and older ugo models will no longer be able to communicate. Existing network settings (whitelists) that support older specifications can be safely deleted. |
To prevent any problems, please follow the steps below in order.
STEP 1: Connectivity check
- Access the "Communication Confirmation Reactor" operation screen.
If a color bar appears on the screen, the communication test is complete. If you cannot confirm video or audio, proceed to STEP 2. If you can confirm video and audio, proceed to STEP 3 .
STEP 2: Add network settings
- If you have communication restrictions (such as whitelisting) in place on your facility's network, first add the new destination domain (*.skyway.ntt.com) to the whitelist. Do not remove the old domain (*.webrtc.ecl.ntt.com) at this point. Doing so will prevent ugo from communicating before the OS update.
STEP 3: Update to ugo OS v4.4.0 (Scheduled for release in late March)
- After confirming that the network settings have been added, please perform the OS update from the ugo Portal operation screen. If you remain with an OS version lower than v4.4.0 until May 1st, you will not be able to perform the OS update remotely.
STEP 4: Delete the old domain (recommended to do this after May 1st)
- After confirming that all robot are functioning correctly from May 1st onwards,
please remove the permission setting for the old domain (*.webrtc.ecl.ntt.com).
5. Notice of Service Termination for Older Models
Due to hardware and OS limitations, the following models
are not supported for updates to ugo OS v4.4.0, which supports the latest communication specifications.
We regret to inform you that all services via the ugo Portal will be terminated on April 30, 2026.
■ Applicable models (models whose service has ended)
- ugo Pro (G3)
- ugo R (G3)
- ugo Ex (G3)
- ugo mini (evaluation version)
■ Handling after service termination
From May 1, 2026 onwards, these aircraft will no longer be able to connect to the ugo Portal.
While they have been used for security and inspection tasks until now, all functions involving communication will cease to function.
We deeply appreciate your long-standing patronage and ask for your understanding.
