①Around the route
・[Confirmation] Are there escalators?
[Potential risk]
- Turning into an escalator by mistake while driving near it
[Countermeasures]
- Do not drive near escalators.
- If driving is absolutely necessary to achieve a goal ( such as improving work efficiency by going through a designated route ),
do not drive straight toward the escalator boarding gate or take a route that is parallel to the boarding gate and curves in the direction of the boarding gate .
- If the above route has already been created, recreate the route.
・[Confirmation] Are there stairs?
[Potential risk]
- Mistakingly entering stairs and falling while driving near them
[Countermeasures]
- Install a door in front of the stairs, or check whether a door is installed (emergency stairs, etc., have doors installed)
- Do not drive near stairs if there is no door
- If driving is absolutely necessary to achieve a purpose ( such as improving work efficiency by going through a designated route), do not go straight to
the staircase entrance or patrol a route that is parallel to the entrance and curves in the direction of the entrance
- If the above route has already been created, recreate the route
②Road conditions
・[Confirm] Are there any steps?
[Possible risks]
- Running over a step and falling over
[Countermeasures]
- Do not drive near steps.
- If driving is absolutely necessary to achieve a goal (such as improving work efficiency by going through a designated route ),
do not drive straight at the steps or on a route that is parallel to the steps and curves in the direction of the steps .
- If the above route has already been created, recreate the route.
・[Check] Are there any unevenness on the floor?
[Possible risks]
- Falling due to uneven ground
[Countermeasures]
- Do not run on floor material if it is more than 1 cm above the road surface.
- If the above route has already been created, recreate the route.
・[Confirmation] Are there braille blocks?
[Possible risks]
- Falling due to unevenness of the braille blocks
[Countermeasures]
- Do not drive on the floor material if it is more than 1 cm above the road surface.
- If the above route has already been created, create the route again.
*Reference: According to JIS T9251-2001, the height of braille is 5 mm (tolerance +1 to 0)
・[Confirmation] Is there grating?
[Possible risks]
Falling over due to grooves in the grating
[Countermeasures]
- For Pro and Ex models, if the width exceeds 28mm or more, and for mini models, if the width exceeds 20mm or more,
the running path will be set up so that the vehicle does not run over the grooves.
- Install a ramp.
・[Check] Is it in the shape of a checkered plate?
[Possible risks]
- Falling due to unevenness of the checkered plate
[Countermeasures]
- If the floor exceeds 1cm above the road surface, do not run on the floor material.
- If the above route has already been created, recreate the route.
③Ramp
・[Confirm] Are there any slopes?
[Potential risks]
- Falling over while driving due to the incline of the slope
[Countermeasures]
- Limit the slope you climb to a maximum of 5 degrees
[⚠️Caution]
As the torque of the wheel motors is generally lost when the vehicle is stopped, there is a risk of the vehicle falling
over if you stop driving or press the operation stop/emergency stop button while climbing a slope
(if you press the emergency stop button on a slope, there is a risk of the vehicle falling over if you do not support it afterwards)
④ Road shoulder conditions
・[Check] Are there gutters and drains?
[Potential risks]
- The wheel gets stuck in a groove and the vehicle falls over while driving.
[Countermeasures]
- For Pro and Ex vehicles, if the width exceeds 28mm or more, and for mini vehicles, if the width exceeds 20mm or more,
the course will be designed to prevent the vehicle from driving over the groove.
- Plates will be installed to cover the groove.
⑤ Regarding elevator boarding
・[Check] Is there a gap between the door and the basket?
[Possible risks]
-The wheel gets stuck in the groove, causing the vehicle to fall over while driving.・
The wheel gets stuck in the groove, preventing the vehicle from moving and causing it to get caught in the door and break down.
[Countermeasures]
-If the width exceeds 28mm for Pro and Ex, or 20mm for mini , operation will be suspended.
・[Check] Are people getting on or off?
[Potential risks]
- Collisions with people or luggage while getting on or off
[Countermeasures]
- If someone is already on the bus, refrain from getting on.
- If someone is getting on, clearly announce the floor they are getting off at and that they are getting off.
・[Confirm] Is there enough time to open and close the door?
[Potential risks]
- Getting caught in the door while getting on or off.
[Countermeasures]
- Check the current opening and closing time information
- Please contact the robot's distributor or our company with the above information and discuss whether or not you can board the robot.
⑥An object that the sensor cannot detect is installed
・[Check] Are there any objects installed outside the sensor's detection range?
[Potential risks]
- Because the object is outside the LiDAR sensor's detection range, it cannot recognize it and
moves forward or turns, resulting in a collision.
[Countermeasures]
-Do not set a route that passes near objects outside the LiDAR detection range.
[⚠️Caution]
Objects on the back of the cart unit or outside a range of approximately 25 cm in height (※ Depending )
cannot be detected, and the collision prevention function will not work.
⑦ Places with glass walls or mirrors
・[Check] Are there any glass or mirror walls along the route?
[Potential risks]
-The collision prevention sensor may not function properly, resulting in a collision.
[Countermeasures]
- If you plan to drive the vehicle, please check the following and contact your dealer or our company to discuss whether or not it is possible to operate the vehicle.
[⚠️Caution]
Glass or mirrored walls, or black objects that do not reflect infrared light well (black walls, black pants, etc.) may be difficult for the LiDAR sensor to detect,
which may affect the operation of the collision prevention function.
⑧ Places with a lot of foot traffic
・[Check] Is it crowded with people coming and going?
[Potential risks]
- The LiDAR sensor may mistakenly recognize a person as an obstacle, causing the vehicle to lose track of its own position and collide.
[Countermeasures]
- When driving in areas with a lot of people, use Map Driving with the driving path priority setting.
