Features: The switch is exposed and can be operated directly.
■ ugo Pro (G4) (manufactured before February 2025)
Location: Upper rear of the lifter unit
Features: It is normally covered with a protective cover, but it can be pushed in directly from over the cover.
■ ugo Ex (G4)
Location: Upper rear of the cart unit
■ ugo mini (G1)
Location: Inside the rear trunk (behind the telescopic pole)
Features: It is normally covered with a protective cover, but it can be pushed in directly from over the cover.
◆ How to operate the emergency stop switch (common to all models)
In an emergency, do not hesitate to follow these steps.
How to press: Press the button firmly until you hear a "click".
*If the button is only partially pressed (half-pressed), it may not transition properly to the emergency stop state, or an error may remain when recovering.
Regarding the protective cover (Pro/mini): You can push the device in while the cover is still on. There is no need to remove the cover in an emergency.

◆ Behavior when the emergency stop switch is activated
When the switch is turned ON, the following state will be maintained.
■ ugo aircraft behavior
| Item | Status | Details |
| Flow / Commands / WorkPlan |
Immediate stop | Any currently running Flows, commands, or WorkPlans will be stopped immediately. |
| Driving function | Blocking | ugo's movement will stop immediately. Keyboard controls, command inputs, and Flow-based movement and turning will all become unavailable. |
| Brake | Deactivate (block) | The braking function will be deactivated. Please be extremely careful when pressing the emergency stop switch on an incline, as the machine may start moving due to its own weight. Please note that if you have enabled the braking function when connected to a charging station using the " Automatic Charging Start (Volume Adjustment/Brake)" command or the "Cart Brake ON" command in Pro /Ex, the brakes will be released. |
| Arm (Pro) | Loss of holding power | The arm will lose its support and will fall under its own weight. Please be careful to avoid contact with surrounding objects or the robot's own cart. |
| Telescopic pole (mini) | Loss of holding power | The telescopic pole will lose its support and fall under its own weight. Please be careful to avoid contact with or pinching of surrounding objects. |
| Face Display (Pro / mini) |
Warning | A special warning message, "Emergency Stop," will appear on the face display. |
| Speaker | Normal | It is possible to output the operator's voice through the computer's microphone using the M key on the keyboard. Voice playback via command will stop immediately. |
| Camera/Microphone | Normal | Surrounding monitoring (video and sound recording) will continue. |
| Lifter Unit (Pro) | Normal | The height of the lifter unit will be maintained. Lifting and lowering will not work. |
| Long-term recording | Continues | Recording will continue. |
| Emergency stop state (Pro) | Emergency stop state (mini) |
If the ugo mini enters an emergency stop state while the telescopic pole is extended, the holding force will be lost and it will fall due to its own weight.
■ Display on the operation screen
A pop-up message will appear stating, "The Emergency Stop Button on the back is pressed."
| item | Status | Details and Notes |
| Operation screen (camera footage) |
Normal | You can view on-site footage captured by the ugo camera. A pop-up message saying "Emergency stop button pressed" is always displayed. In Pro/Ex versions, you can switch camera views using the C key on your keyboard. |
| audio | Normal | I can hear the local audio input through ugo's microphone. |
| Speaker output | Normal | It is possible to output the operator's voice through the computer's microphone by pressing the M key on the keyboard. |
| Movement using keyboard controls | Blocked | Keyboard controls are not accepted for moving Ugo forward, backward, left, or right, or for turning left or right. |
| Operation of various icons | Blocked | You cannot press any of the icons or buttons on the operation screen. |
| Text-based dialogue / Speech-to-text playback |
Blocked | The text output field on the operation screen and the playback function for spoken text are unavailable. |
| Command / Flow / WorkPlan Operation |
Blocked | Commands, Flows, and WorkPlans cannot be initiated from the user interface. |
|
Map creation / route creation using the map editor |
Blocked | It is not possible to create a map by operating ugo while it is in an emergency stop state, nor is it possible to create a route by manually pressing ugo to record waypoints. |
■ Messages via notification function
If the notification function is enabled, an email or other notification will be sent when the emergency stop switch is pressed while Flow is running.
See below for details.
*Notification of the emergency stop switch being pressed will not be sent when Flow is not running.
*ugo must be online.

◆ Procedure for restoring to normal state (common to all models)
①Turning the emergency stop switch to the right (clockwise) will release the lock and the button will pop out. If you pressed it through the cover on a ugo Pro/mini, open the cover first and then turn the switch to the right.
② The warning message on the operation screen disappears, and ugo returns to its normal state. For Pro models : The face display returns to the default eye display , the arm's holding power is restored, and it enters standby mode. For mini models : The face display returns to the default eye display , the telescopic pole's holding power is restored, and it lowers to the default height (580mm) immediately after startup.

◆ Notes
Regarding pressing the emergency stop switch:
When pressing the emergency stop switch, make sure to press it firmly until you hear a "click." A partial press (half-press) may prevent the system from transitioning to the emergency stop state correctly, or may result in an error during recovery.
[Pro] Regarding the loss of arm holding power:
Pressing the emergency stop switch will remove the supporting force for the arm, causing it to fall under its own weight. Please be careful to avoid contact with surrounding objects or the machine's own cart unit. In particular, if the lifter is operating at a lowered height, there is a risk of the arm colliding with the cart unit, so please be extra careful.
[mini] Regarding the loss of telescopic pole holding power:
Pressing the emergency stop switch will remove the support for the telescopic pole, causing it to fall under its own weight. Please be careful to avoid contact between the top case and surrounding objects, and to prevent your fingers from getting caught in the telescopic pole.
Regarding the deactivation of the braking function:
Pressing the emergency stop switch will immediately stop the ugo's movement (motor operation) and also deactivate the braking function. Please be extremely careful when pressing the emergency stop switch on an incline, as the robot may start moving due to its own weight.
Regarding Flow and commands after releasing the emergency stop state:
After releasing the emergency stop, the Flow and commands that were running before the emergency stop will not automatically resume. For safety reasons, the operator must re-execute them. *The "Move straight for ◯cm, move ◯cm in front of wall" command will automatically resume after releasing the emergency stop.
Turning the power ON/OFF while holding down the emergency stop switch:
It is possible to turn ugo's power ON/OFF while holding down the emergency stop switch. However, ugo will enter an emergency stop state immediately after startup. To begin operation, please release the emergency stop state.
[Pro / Ex] Regarding the braking function when connected to the charging station:
In Pro/Ex, if you have enabled the brakes when connecting to a charging station using the "Automatic Charging Start (Volume Adjustment/Brake) " command or the " Cart Brake ON" command, please note that pressing the emergency stop switch will release the brakes.
*After releasing the emergency stop state, the brakes will not automatically re-enable when docking at the charging station. You will need to execute the above commands again to re-enable the brakes when docking.
