The map editor, which was available as a lab feature (beta version) under "Try the new map editor",
was officially released in June 2025.
The traditional map editor v1 can be accessed by clicking [Open old version of map editor].

The area surrounded by a white frame on the map editor indicates
the area (canvas) where maps can be created, and is set to 150
x 150 (m). Any area outside the canvas will not be recorded as a map. Grid lines are displayed in the background of the canvas. You can use these to adjust the spacing and angle when setting driving routes (waypoints). |
| ② | Cart icon |
The white square icon is the ugo itself, and the circle inside
it represents the forward direction. The pink dots show the shape of the surroundings recognized by the LiDAR (only the range that can be recognized in front, left and right, excluding the rear). The coordinates and angle of ugo are located at x, y, deg = 0 on the canvas immediately after launch, but they change when moving or using the map patrol position initialization command. |
| ③ | Online status icon |
When ugo is online, it will be displayed in green. If it is displayed in yellow or red, please check the communication status of ugo. |
| ④ | Robot name | ugo's name will be displayed. |
| ⑤ | Position adjustment menu | You can toggle the display of "Change position" and "Auto position correction." |
| ⑥ | Change position | If you drag the cart icon to the left while pressing it, you can move the cart icon to any position. |

When pressed after creating a map, the "map shape" is compared
with the "surrounding shape detected by LiDAR" and the self-position
is automatically corrected. The cart icon moves to the coordinates and angle recognized on the map. When creating a route by keyboard operation or by pressing ugo with your hand, "Automatic position correction" is enabled. |
| ⑧ | Building / Floor Information |
Displays the building ugo belongs to and the floor he is currently
on. Maps and routes created in the map editor are linked to the floor displayed here. If a floor different from the one you want to create a map on is displayed, change the floor ugo belongs to in the operation screen. Please refer to the manual for information on how to create a floor、and how to change a floor. |

You can switch between the floor map editing screen and the partial
map editing screen. The partial map is used with the standing position adjustment command. For more details, please see Partial Map/Standing Position Adjustments. |

If you have already created a map, select the map from the pull-down
menu. The created map data is named by year/month/day/time. |

Apply the map selected with the map data selection button to
the currently displayed floor. Only one map can be applied to each floor. If a map has already been applied, "Applying this map" is displayed. |

◆How to create a map
Before creating a new map, please refer to the operation method on the canvas when creating a map below and move the cart icon to a position with enough margin so that the map you want to record does not go outside the canvas.
Also, rotate the cart icon as necessary to adjust the orientation of the map you will record. Once you have decided the starting point for recording the map and the orientation of the map you will record, press the [Create New Map Button] to start creating the map.

※ ugo must be online when creating a map.

*1 You can zoom in and out on the canvas by rotating the mouse wheel on the canvas.
*2 When you press the [Position Adjustment Menu] at the bottom left of the map editor screen,
the [Change Position] button will appear. [Change position] While pressed, drag the cart icon to the left to move it.
After moving, click [Done]. *When creating a map, be sure to do this so that the map you are recording does not go outside the canvas.
*3 When you press the [Position Adjustment Menu] at the bottom left of the map editor screen,
the [Change Position] button will appear. [Change position] When pressed, hover the mouse over the cart icon and press the <E key/R key> to rotate the cart icon.
After adjusting the orientation, click [Done].
This can be used to adjust the orientation of a map when creating it.
*When creating a map, please also perform operation *2 so that the map you are recording does not go outside the canvas.
◆How to create and edit a route
Here we will explain how to create or edit routes in the map editor without using the keyboard or moving ugo with your hands.
This method can be done even when ugo is offline.
To create a new route, press the [Create new route button].
For how to edit waypoints (routes), please refer to the operation method on the canvas when editing waypoints .
To view and edit a route you have already created, click the magnifying glass icon next to [Route] to open the [Route Selection Screen] . When you select a route to edit on the [Route Selection Screen] , the route will be displayed on the canvas. (Multiple routes can be displayed at the same time)To edit a route, click the [Edit] button. (Multiple routes can be edited at the same time)
For instructions on how to edit waypoints (routes), please refer to the instructions on how to edit waypoints on the canvas . When editing multiple routes at the same time, please also use the route show/hide button and route lock button to avoid accidentally editing different routes .

*4 If you double-click on the canvas with the end waypoint selected,
you can create a new waypoint beyond the end waypoint.
*5 When a waypoint is selected, double-clicking on the line connecting the previous and
next waypoints will create a new waypoint at the midpoint on the route.
*6 Left-drag on the canvas to make a rectangular selection.
You can select waypoints by selecting a rectangle that includes the waypoints.
(Multiple selections are possible.)
*7 With a waypoint selected, you can move it by left-dragging.
*8 When a waypoint or route is selected, pressing the E key or R key will rotate the waypoint or route left or right.
*9 When editing a route, select a waypoint and left-click the speed button to change to the selected speed.
