◆ What is the Long-duration Recording Feature?
Long-duration recording is supported only on ugo OS v3.6.0 and later, and only for ugo Pro (G4), ugo Ex (G4), and ugo mini (G1) models.
This feature continuously records camera footage while ugo is powered on (※1) and saves the recording data to the storage device built into the ugo unit.
The recorded data can be saved to the storage device installed in the ugo unit.
Recorded data can be viewed through ugo Portal while ugo is online and belongs to the same building as when the recording was made (※2 )(※6 )
through ugo Portal, you can view the footage saved inside the ugo unit.
It is also possible to upload footage saved in the ugo unit to ugo Portal. (※3)
Data uploaded from the robot can be viewed in ugo Portal.
Free plans display only 1 hour of data.
Paid plans display all data uploaded from the robot.
Please check with your sales representative regarding plans.

!Important!
Downloading long-duration recording data is only possible with an account that has "Organization Administrator" privileges.
How to Download from the ugo Unit’s Storage Device
This method can only be performed when ugo is online.

② In the recording playback screen, click the vertical three-dot menu at the bottom right.
③ Click [Download] to save the uploaded recording data (in mp4 format) to your computer.
◆Automatic Control Processing When Battery Level Is Low
- To prevent incidents where the battery dies during long-duration recording, causing recording data corruption and unplayability, we have added automatic control processing for long-duration recording based on battery level. The following processes are automatically executed according to battery level: ・Automatic Stop of Recording: When battery level falls to 10% or below, recording is safely stopped and data is saved. ・Automatic Resume: When charging starts and battery level recovers to 15% or above, recording automatically resumes. ※Automatic resume occurs only if [Automatic Long-duration Recording Start] is enabled on the robot details screen. If recording was started from the Action Menu, after battery level recovers to 15% or above, the operator must manually start recording. ※When automatic stop triggers, data processing of several minutes of recording begins. If the robot is powered off during data processing, the last 10-minute segment of recording data will not be saved inside the robot. Please also review the precautions for the long-duration recording feature.
| Battery Level | Message Displayed on Operation Screen | Description |
| When battery drops to 10% or below | "Long-duration Recording: Stopping..." | Processing to save several minutes of recording data begins. Do not power off the robot until processing is complete. |
| When battery recovers to 15% or above ※If automatic recording start is enabled |
"Long-duration Recording: Preparing..." | Preparation to start long-duration recording is underway. |
| "Long-duration Recording: Recording..." | Long-duration recording is in progress. |
◆Usage Precautions
※1
For ugo Pro and ugo Ex, only the front camera can be used for long-duration recording.
Also, the resolution of saved footage follows the camera’s streaming setting.
※2
Recording data for the same time period can only be uploaded in either low or high quality, not both.
If you upload a video in low quality first and then want to upload the same video in high quality, you must delete the low-quality video from the cloud first.
※3
Recording data is saved inside the robot after several minutes of data processing.
・Data processing occurs while the message "Long-duration Recording: Stopping..." is displayed.
・If "Automatic Long-duration Recording Start" is enabled, data processing is executed automatically (after each 10-minute recording segment completes).
If the robot is powered off before data processing completes, recording data will not be saved. Please note the following:
① When turning off the robot, press "Stop Long-duration Recording" before pressing the power button, and confirm the "Long-duration Recording: Stopping..." message disappears before powering off. If the power is turned off before this message disappears, the last 10-minute recording segment will not be saved inside the robot. ② For 10-minute recording segments to be saved inside the robot, the robot must remain powered on and running normally during the 10-minute recording and subsequent data processing without rebooting. Example: If the robot powers on and starts recording at 10:15, and data processing from 10:20 runs normally, → The recording from approximately 10:16 to 10:20 (4 minutes) will be saved.
※4
If the robot is moved between buildings twice, recording data inside the robot will be deleted, so please be careful.
Pattern ①: Registered in Building A → Building B → Building A → Building B Recording data from Building A and Building B remain. Pattern ②: Registered in Building A → Building B → Building C → Building B Recording data from Building C and Building B remain. Building A’s recording data is deleted. Pattern ③: Registered in Building A → Building B → Building C → Building A The first registration in Building A is treated as new, and previous recording data is not retained.
※5
Recorded videos are encrypted and can only be viewed under specific environments.
Connecting the storage device directly to a PC such as Windows to transfer recording data is not possible.
※6
The "Start Long-duration Recording" button will not respond if the ugo does not have a storage device for saving recording data installed.
※7
When capacity is full, older recording data is automatically deleted.
※8
Please always stop "Long-duration Recording" and reboot the robot once before changing buildings.
※9
If you turn off ugo’s power during long-duration recording, please stop recording or perform a shutdown using the power button.
If the power is turned off by other methods (such as battery depletion or forced shutdown) during long-duration recording,
the data storage area for long-duration recording may become corrupted, and recording data may not be saved correctly.
※ In some cases, the storage area may become corrupted and require reformatting.
Reformatting will delete all past recording data saved in the robot,
and recovery will be impossible, so please be very careful.
※ Please upload any recording data that needs to be saved to ugo Portal as needed.
※10
When multiple ugos belong to the same building and upload recording data for the same date and time, only the first uploaded unit’s data is saved to the cloud.
Also, if you open long-duration recording data for the same date and time from a ugo other than the one that uploaded it, it will show as already uploaded, and uploading from another ugo will not be possible.
◆Handling During Repairs
If the robot is collected for repair due to malfunction, recording data inside the robot will be deleted.
Please upload any necessary recording data to the cloud in advance.
