How to open from the operation screen
1.Click on the building name at the top of the ugo operation screen
2. "Current Floor Settings" will be displayed, so click " Open Map Editor on this unit."
How to open from ugo portal
On the ugo Portal robot management page , click and open " Map Editor v1 " in the "Connect" tab for each robot.
Map Editor Screen
・The white square icon is the ugo itself , and the circle inside it represents the forward direction.
・The pink point cloud represents the surrounding environment recognized by the LiDAR, and can be recognized in front, left and right, excluding the blind spot behind.
It is shown in the range
- The dotted line in the background indicates the area (canvas) where you can create a map. You can replace map data or edit the map.
It is set to 150x150(m) unless you use the Fiery v2.
- The bottom left corner shows the current coordinates and angle of the ugo body relative to the map.
Immediately after starting ugo, x, y, deg = 0, but they change depending on movement, map patrol position initialization command, etc.
How to create map data
Before creating map data
・When creating map data, please remove any items that you do not normally place.
・Please be careful not to let the map data creator or people around you get caught in the LiDAR.
・When creating map data, first place the ugo icon on the map editor in the canvas and move it to desired position
*1 Scrolling in empty space zooms in/out, dragging and dropping moves the canvas
is possible
*2 If the current location is not found, use "*1" to search.
*3 Click " Change position " on the bottom left and move the mouse cursor over the ugo icon. The cursor will change to a hand shape.
In this state, you can scroll to change the angle, and drag and drop to move the icon.
*4 After placing ugo at the starting point of map data creation, estimate the map size you want to create and then add any excess
Move the coordinates to a position with enough space to avoid overlapping, then click " Done " in the bottom left.
How to create a map
Creation procedure
1. Click " ⊕ " on the top right
2. Click " Start MAP Creation " to start creating map data. Walls, obstacles, etc. detected by LiDAR will be displayed.

3. Push the ugo through areas where it may pass by using your hand or remotely control it from the control screen.
4. When the map data is complete, click " Save" to complete the process.
How to create accurate map data
When creating accurate map data, keep the following points in mind:
・After starting map data creation, map data creation will be paused if you move the ugo device.
・Pause the game and try not to draw the same thing on the map.
・When moving the ugo, try not to change the direction.
・Before resuming map data creation, stop the robot and fine-tune the position of the ugo icon on the map editor.
How to link map data to a floor
Select the map data you created and click " Apply this map " to link the map data to the floor. Note that only one map data can be linked per floor.
How to enable/disable automatic position correction
Clicking on " Auto-correct Position " at the bottom left of the Map Editor screen will enable correction, and the position of ugo on the map data will be automatically corrected.
If you click " Cancel position correction " while the correction is enabled , you can disable the correction.
